Sandra Broderick
Regional Executive Officer | HSE
Sandra Broderick is the first Regional Executive Officer to be appointed by the Health Service Executive and took up post in December 2023. Sandra is the accountable officer at Health Region level, responsible for the delivery of high-quality, safe, and accessible Health and Social Care services for a population of 420,000 in the Mid West, leading a workforce of 10,000 staff.
A qualified nurse with the NHS since 2004, Sandra is a passionate advocate for a universal, equitable health system that provides safe care in the right place at a convenient time for patients.
Sandra has worked in Healthcare her entire career, returning to Ireland in 2018 to join the HSE as Assistant National Director managing high quality health and social services for older people.
Sandra, the first REO appointed in the HSE reports directly to the CEO of the organisation, Bernard Gloster, and has full responsibility for all Acute, Community and Public Health Services across the Mid West.
