Lucie has a nursing background and worked for over 10 years in the Homecare sector in Ireland and the UK. Lucie founded THE HomeShare in 2017 and has driven the Homesharing model in Ireland. Homeshare enables people of different generations to live together for mutual benefit. In the last 4 years, this not-for-profit organisation has enabled over 200 older people remain living in their own homes and prevented them having to access long term care. THE HomeShare is person centred with safeguarding at the heart of it’s ethos.
THE HomeShare supports older people not just to remain living in their own homes, on their terms, but also enables them to provide a safe, spacious and affordable home to carefully chosen and vetted accommodation seekers. Even up to the age of 102, our older population can make a difference in someone else’s life!
