Aoife Clancy

Aoife Clancy is Chief Pharmacist for Medicines Information and Medication Safety at UPMC Ireland, where she leads initiatives to enhance the safe, effective and evidence-based use of medicines across the organisation. In this role, Aoife is responsible for developing and overseeing medication safety strategies, clinical governance frameworks and medicines information services that support both healthcare professionals and patients.

With extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, Aoife has built a strong reputation for advancing patient safety and quality improvement through the optimisation of medication systems and processes. Her work focuses on reducing medication-related risk, promoting best practice in prescribing and administration, and embedding a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
