Ms. Veronica Kavanagh, RGN, MA, PMP, Associate Executive Director, Project Management, and Chief, Nursing Transformation Program, National Guard Health Affairs, Saudi Arabia. Ms. Kavanagh has a varied and distinguished career in healthcare since qualifying as a RGN in 1990 in the Bon Secours Hospital, Co Cork, Ms. Kavanagh completed a Masters in Public Administration through the IPA, Dublin 2002.
An experienced professional with over twenty five year’s working in healthcare senior operational positions in the public and private sector. She worked on various Healthcare PFI’s in the UK as Associate Director with Sweett Group, London. Until 2011 Ms. Kavanagh was Operations Director for Beacon Medical Group, planning the commissioning and operations of Beacon Hospital and was the Project Director for BMG on the National Co-location bids.
Ms. Kavanagh is a specialist in the Middle East, having worked for over 12 years on different construction and operational projects. Since 2011 she has worked at the Ministry of the National Guard leading a major expansion of facilities and clinical services. As Program Director, she was responsible for the operational planning and commissioning of a 552 bed, 200,000 square meter Pediatric Tertiary referral facility in the National Guard, Riyadh. Presently Ms. Kavanagh as Chief, Nursing Transformation Program NGHA, is responsible to the operational transformation of the Nursing workforce (6500) and processes, following the closure of the NGHA by the WHO in August 2015. This was a result on a major outbreak of Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome, Corona Virus. The hospital has successfully reopened in October 2015.
