Philip is a Principal and the Head of Consulting, EMEA at Gensler. His role is to lead and expand Gensler’s Consultancy business in the EMEA region. His team covers all aspects of Workplace Strategy and its implementation in the European/ Middle East region and extends Gensler’s reach in Architecture/ Design and Urban Strategy services.
He is currently serving as one of four members of the Firm-wide Client Relationships Management Committee; where his focus is on ‘Client Development Strategies’ – the enhancement of Gensler’s Value Proposition to its clients.
With an architectural and design and background, Philip has over 25 years experience in Workplace Consultancy, Real Estate advisory and Design and Urban Strategy services.
He regularly works with both International Corporate and local Public Sector organisations in the UK and Europe advising them on all aspects of how improved working environments can lead to enhanced business performance.
His career includes 15+ years experience in mainland Europe. His work with many Corporate Clients in countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Scandinavia has given him invaluable experience on how to implement Global Workplace Strategies on a pan-European basis. He has also advised many City Municipalities and Real Estate Developers on City Strategies for mixed-use and industrial rehabilitation programmes (Germany/ Netherlands).
Philip regularly undertakes public speaking/ conference engagements in the UK and Europe on a wide range of ‘Workplace and City’ issues and is an active member of Corenet, the British Council of Offices (BCO), the Workplace Consulting Organisation (WCO) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
He is also a Faculty member and Professor of the IE School of Architecture’s Master of Workplace Design course in Madrid/ London.
