Martin is the Director of Technology Seeking within the Advanced Manufacturing Technology group in GSK R&D. The function of the group is to deliver a roadmap intended to transform the way medicines will be manufactured and delivered in the future. Martin’s role as a Technology Seeker is to capture, evaluate and deploy technology intelligence intended to inform the decisions and actions that the group should take in the delivery of the manufacturing technology roadmap.
One of the technologies he is currently exploring is the potential opportunities that the 3D printing of solid dosage forms could offer in the future.
Martin previously worked for PGS (Pfizer Global Supply) where he has held a number of different positions including; member of the Global Innovation Leadership team, Project Manager for the design and construction of a Pharmaceutical Development Centre, Product Transfer lead responsible for the evaluation of novel manufacturing technologies.
Martin has a passion for Healthcare Innovation, practical creativity and the culture that is required to support an Innovative environment.
Martin has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Limerick and a Masters in Innovation & Technology Management from UCD, Ireland.
