David has been a director of The Doctors Laboratory (TDL) since 1998 and CEO of Sonic Healthcare UK since 2002 when it acquired TDL. Sonic Healthcare is one of the world’s largest Clinical Pathology Organisations . In April 2015 he was appointed as CEO of Health Service Laboratories (HSL) a pathology joint venture between TDL, University College Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital. HSL provides state-of-the-art pathology services, bringing together the best from both the independent and public sectors to provide a wide range of benefits for patients, staff, clinicians and academics undertaking research projects. HSL delivers substantial efficiencies to the NHS through; economies of scale, use of leading edge technology, investment in infrastructure and IT and the adoption of best working practices.
